Although the tours can be free, the free tour model operates on a "pay-what-you-feel" model, meaning participants are expected to tip the guide at the end of the tour. Tipping is voluntary, but it's the primary way our guides earn their income.

If you find the tour worthwhile (as the vast majority do), the price we reccomended is $20-$30 per person. Other organised tours around Christchurch range from $20 to $175 per person.

At the Bontanic Gardens car park you can park 3 hours for $5. This is a 10/15min walk to our start point. Alternatively there is two hour street parking all around our start point at a slightly more expensive hourly rate.
