About the tour

From October 1st 2026 Our Free Tours are back!

Our Christchurch Free Walking Tour is an informative and entertaining way to get the express history of Christchurch. From Māori and European settlers to modern day locals. From geography, architecture and the recent earthquakes, we cover it. As we unravel these stories, be amazed at the hidden gems of the city.

Christchurch City is flat, so this tour is suitable for almost all levels of fitness and is all wheel chair accessible. The tour typically takes around 2 hours and finishes at the Antigua Boat Sheds, very close to our start point at The Arts Centre.

“Absolutely loved our Christchurch walking tour! Demi was an exceptional guide – genuinely the sweetest and friendliest person. Her passion for the city was infectious, and her stories about the earthquake and Christchurch's incredible resilience were truly moving. You could tell she poured her heart into the tour. Wishing Demi all the best with her studies at university! Highly recommend this tour”
